- Chief doctor in psychiatry at the Mental Health Department of the AUSL in Bologna since 1997
- He has promoted, organized and directed the first Consensus Conference in Italy on Non Conventional Medicines in the National Health Service during the 43th National Congress of the Italian Society of Psychiatry
- He is the coordinator of the Permanent Committee of Consensus and Direction for non conventional medicines in Italy
- He is member of the Observatory for Non Conventional Medicine in Emilia Romagna since 2004.
- He is referee of the National Commission for Continuous Medical Education by the Italian Ministry of Health
- He is member of several scientific associations and committees on Non Conventional Medicines
- He is teacher of AIOT, the Italian Association of Homotoxicology, as well as of Fondazione Matteo Ricci in Bologna; he is also teacher of the seminars on the legal state of Non Conventional Medicines.
