  • Graduated in Medicine and Surgery at Pavia University in 1969.
  • Specialized in Occupational Medicine at the University of Padua and Hygiene at the University of Trieste.
  • He has been studying environmental cancerogenesis since 1974 as well as the relationship between stem cell differentiation and cancer since 1982.
  • Head of  Occupational Medicine at Sesto San Giovanni Hospital and professor at the Post-Graduate School of Occupational Medicine at the University of Trieste till 2003.
  • He works at the Istitute of Research and Cure of Scientific Character (IRCSC) Multimedica of Milan.
  • President of the Foundation for Research into the Biological Therapies of Cancer and vice president of World Wildlife Fund Italy.
  • Vice president of the International Academy of Tumor Marker Oncology.
  • Member of the editorial advisory boards of several scientific journal.
  • Author of more than 100 scientific publications and a number of books (Mondadori and Feltrinelli).
  • Teacher for AIOT (Associazione Italiana di Omotossicologia).
  • Member of the Scientific Department of Guna Spa and Guna Inc.
